So much has been going on since April... I had a crazy spring and summer! Not only my belly has been growing and growing, but I finished my master's thesis, we renovated the
house so we could have upstairs, a little bedroom for the baby and a little bathroom.
I am really happy with the result. The light is amazing at the end of the day, and the color is so sweet, warm and perfect. I just started decorating last week and I can't wait to see the whole place with the crib and the baby inside. Here is a picture Pierre Dorion style.
On the not very happy side, my beloved dog Chili died, in my studio exactly where I draw and paint, and I found her lying there when I got back from work on may 21st. What a nightmare... 9 years of happy living with that big and funny beast. She had quite a ca
racter, everything you would imagine of an old dog: complaining about the music, farting and moaning and growling! In a funny way of course! She was lovely with baby and kids, patient and adorable. They say a dog has one master, I think a master has one dog. Dear Chili, rest in peace, you had a great dog's life and you deserve some rest. Love ya forever!
On a more positive note, we had tons of friends and family o
ver from all over the world and we have been gardening and harvesting a lot! Nature has been generous to us and we have been eating fresh vegetables aaaall summer! It is getting cold at night around here and some of our vegetables (tomatoes and squash) have not got the chance to reach maturity yet, oh well, maybe next year!
I have been really into baking bread all summer, what an art! I will never complain about the price of artisan bread again (even if I never complained before...) although now my respect for bread bakers has double, no triple, no.. well you get my point!? I will post pictures and recipe eventually. For the moment here is a no-knead white bread image with home-made cherry jam.

That bread looks yummy, breakfast time here! Nurseries are such fun to decorate. I hope you are feeling great and able to enjoy.
Oh yes I am feeling great! Thank you! The next step in the nursery is the art work. This is really exciting! That is the reason why I was asking about the pink series on your blog the other day!!! ;)
