Decorating

I am moving almost every single piece of art I can right now. I even decided to put up some of my work on my walls again. There is one area that I am not sure of. It is a beautiful wall and its right in front of me while I'm having breakfast, diner and when I cook. I want it to be just perfect. I'm looking for inspiration on Geninne's art blog she has such an interesting way of combining various images together.

On my needles...

I have been knitting lately!!! I don't know if it's the impression that it won't be possible in a few weeks or just because I need to relax. One thing I know is that I am presently fairly productive. I just received some new yarn Cascade 220 in Irelande green heather courtoisie of the post woman! And I am planning on knitting the lady february sweater with it. The only problem is that I can't find size 5 needles anywhere!!!

Instead I started (and finished) this lovely scarf last week. I loove the result and the yarn (Berroco peruvia Avocado) is amazingly soft and warm. I have been wearing this aaaall week-end, thank god it was cold! Did I mention my love for green?

I am also working on a little vest from Stefanie Japel from the book Fitted Knits which also happens to be a free ravelry download. Ravel it! I am almost done, the photo is not updated, the sleeves are almost over and I  have to put the applied i-cord (which I never did before). The thing is, it looks completely ridiculous over a 36 weeks pregnant belly! I might wait a few weeks before posting images of the finished object. mais en attendant... Oh, I hate the yarn, by the way, its Phildar and it has some acrylic in it. I bought it ages ago when I started knitting. I also knitted little pants with it, I hope he will like the yarn more than I do!

The last thing I am currently working on with the most amazing yarn is, Margot available on the fall issue of Knitty for free. Or Ravel it!

It is adorable. I can't wait to be over. Another sweater formy post-pregnancy body. This is it! I will be starting some hats later on this week (or next) for my sweet little Antonin, Léonard or Léon. Have a nice week!

fausse alerte!

No, I'm not back in my studio yet, but I can feel the urge coming. It's been 5 months!!! It is the first time that I quit studio work for such a long time since... I don't know... I think it never happened before!
I still have some of my work packed from my past exhibition! I don't even know if they packed it right, if the frames are damaged etc... This week I plan to unpack my last serie, put past work on my studio walls, cut some paper and prepare some surfaces. If I do this, I'll be proud.
I should also check on the colors I had prepared with Kama pigments' aqua-dispersion, I wonder if they have dried. This shop, by the way is drawers and painters «Mecque», they sell you everything to make your own paint, mix your own colors, and the pigments (or dispersions) are awesome! Wish I did not have to order everything by mail... Thanks you Dan for the discovery.

I'm back!

So much has been going on since April... I had a crazy spring and summer! Not only my belly has been growing and growing, but I finished my master's thesis, we renovated the
house so we could have upstairs, a little bedroom for the baby and a little bathroom.

I am really happy with the result. The light is amazing at the end of the day, and the color is so sweet, warm and perfect. I just started decorating last week and I can't wait to see the whole place with the crib and the baby inside. Here is a picture Pierre Dorion style.

On the not very happy side, my beloved dog Chili died, in my studio exactly where I draw and paint, and I found her lying there when I got back from work on may 21st. What a nightmare... 9 years of happy living with that big and funny beast. She had quite a ca
racter, everything you would imagine of an old dog: complaining about the music, farting and moaning and growling! In a funny way of course! She was lovely with baby and kids, patient and adorable. They say a dog has one master, I think a master has one dog. Dear Chili, rest in peace, you had a great dog's life and you deserve some rest. Love ya forever!

On a more positive note, we had tons of friends and family o
ver from all over the world and we have been gardening and harvesting a lot! Nature has been generous to us and we have been eating fresh vegetables aaaall summer! It is getting cold at night around here and some of our vegetables (tomatoes and squash) have not got the chance to reach maturity yet, oh well, maybe next year!

I have been really into baking bread all summer, what an art! I will never complain about the price of artisan bread again (even if I never complained before...) although now my respect for bread bakers has double, no triple, no.. well you get my point!? I will post pictures and recipe eventually. For the moment here is a no-knead white bread image with home-made cherry jam.

Uke!

J'ai oublié! Dans tout ce que je compte faire une fois mon mémoire déposé, j'avais omis: jouer du ukulélé!!! Comment ai-je pu! AAAAAAH, je me vois déjà...

Bof!

Lalala or Art?

Is that blog suppose to be about Lalala or about art? Question asked! I have been wondering for a while where to head with this and I am still confuse... What langage should I write in? French? English?

Let's say that blog is about art... Her are a few studies of eventual art pieces...
Here aaaare «the Clothildes» in two variations!

Also a detail of «You're not Alone» a work Iam preparing for my master's thesis show in may.

Plus another one just for fun
